Whether you are new to dog training or have been competing in obedience or agility competitions for years, our goal is to provide you with support and advice that will help you to improve your relationship with your dog.
Our club's training philosophy focuses on teaching you the basic principles, or foundations, of learning so that you can effectively teach your dog the behaviours you want him or her to learn, and modify the behaviours you would like to change. To do that, we incorporate some of the most up-to-date ideas from the scientific study of learning in animals, and also provide you with information on basic canine behaviour and communication.
Of course, training should first and foremost be fun for both the dog and the owner! So we aim to provide a fun atmosphere as well, from morning tea and walks down to the creek, to intra-club competition days, barbecues, doggie games, competitive trials, and our annual Christmas party. So please join in all the fun (and hard work), and we wish you all the success in the world.
Happy Training!
