EV Workshop and Christmas BBQ: 12 December 2010

EVNE will be conducting a series of workshops showing the conversion of a quad bike. The first session, "Getting Started", will cover the basics, including theory, safety issues, and National Code of Practice, and will include a look at the quad to be converted.

Sustainable Living Expo: 29-31 October 2010

SLEX 2010 Live.Learn.Act. is a weekend of events held at the Armidale Creeklands on the 29, 30 and 31st of October 2010. This year our display will include an electric Mighty Boy converted by Robert James of LightningEV. We will also be promoting our first EV Workshop (see above).

New England Branch AGM: 15 August 2010

Bellingen Energy Fair: 5 June 2010

The Bellingen Energy Festival is on again and EVNE has been invited to attend. The Bellingen Energy Festival is an annual event, showcasing environmental innovation and information. The program includes key-note speakers, workshops, kids activities, and live music - all around the theme of sustainability. Community groups and local businesses will be demonstrating all the ideas, products and services that can help reduce our carbon footprint and lead to a better future. Entry is by donation and times are 9.00am – 3:30pm with a parade from Maam Gudyuing from 8.30am.

Tamworth Eco-Smart Building Expo: 8-9 May 2010

The Tamworth Eco-Smart Building Expo includes an exhibition of building products and environmentally-friendly practices at Tamworth TAFE Campus. EVNE's stand will be one of the centre exhibits.

Saumarez Homestead Historic Farm Day: 24 April 2010

April's meeting will be one week later than usual. EVNE has been invited to participate in the Saumarez Homestead Historic Farm Day. The event is free to the public and will include attractions such as farm tours, live music, antique machinery, "Yarn in the Barn", shearing and blacksmithing.

Armidale Autumn Festival: 20 March 2010

The Armidale Autumn Festival is celebrated over four days including band competition, parade, fun day in the park, canter university to park, side-shows, free entertainment, stalls, etc on Friday and Saturday. EVNE will be showing two vehicles.

SKYPE Session: 21 June 2009

Bellingen Renewable Energy Fair: 30 May 2009

Bellingen have asked EVNE to show an electric vehicle at their Renewable Energy Fair. Christie and Ray Cooksey will be showing their electric Ford Capri along with Nathan Bolton's "Sparky". Their cars can be seen at the Australian Electric Vehicle Association stand which will be manned jointly by the Sydney Branch and by EVNE. (View Photos)

Electric Vehicle Seminar: 22 February 2009

The EVNE will be holding an event on 22 February for anyone interested in converting a car to electric. Nathan Bolton of “Convert Ur Car” in Sydney will be speaking. Nathan is a member of the Australian Electric Vehicle Association and caters to any type of conversion work from consulting to helping with a project to sourcing a car and converting it completely. Topics will include:

• what to look for in a donor car,
• batteries,
• adaptor plates,
• where to find engineers,
• safety,
• registration,
• and a question-and-answer time.

Nathan will also be bringing one of his conversions for inspection.

Nathan's presentation will be held at Pembroke Caravan Park from 10am to 2pm on Sunday, 22 February. For those interested in joining the EVNE there will also be a short meeting after the presentation.
